Cancellation & Rescheduling
Notice, rescheduling, late arrival and missed appointments.
Why notice matters
An appointment reserves time that is held for you and is difficult to fill at short notice, which is why cancellations are asked for in advance.
Notice
Classes can be cancelled up to 3 hours before the start time. Cancel within that window and the session is rescheduled or credited at no charge.
Late cancellation and missed appointments
Late cancellations and no-shows are charged $10. A missed appointment is treated the same way.
Arriving late
Sessions finish at the scheduled time so that the next person is not kept waiting, so arriving late shortens the session rather than extending it. If too much of the session has passed to begin safely, it is treated as a late cancellation.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling with enough notice is welcome and carries no charge. Where a credit is issued instead, the validity period is shown with the credit.
Memberships and passes
A membership can be cancelled at any time to stop future billing, and access continues to the end of the period already paid for. Where a plan carries a minimum term or a pause option, that is stated on the plan.
Courses and trainings
Withdrawal terms are published with each programme. Once a programme has started, the place and the materials released with it are committed. Where live sessions are missed, recordings or catch-up are provided if the programme includes them.
Retreats
Retreat cancellations follow the terms published with each retreat, because accommodation is reserved in advance. A place can often be transferred to another person by agreement. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
If we have to cancel
If Brooklyn Yoga Project cancels — through illness, an emergency, or something outside our control — you are offered the first available alternative, a credit, or a full refund, whichever you prefer, with as much notice as we can give.
Illness and weather
Please do not come to an in-person session with a contagious illness; rescheduling for that reason is not treated as a late cancellation. Sessions may move online or be rescheduled where travel is genuinely unsafe.
Other booking conditions
- Class packs of 5, 10 and 20 expire; the 100-class pack does not.
- Mats and towels are $2 to rent after your first visit.
- The heated room runs at around 98°F. Late entry is not permitted once class has begun.
How to cancel
Cancel through the booking system you used, or get in touch through the contact page. A cancellation takes effect when it is received, so please send it rather than assume it was seen.
